To honor their work, we're sharing Todo Verde-inspired recipes using ingredients you can find at their stores!

From Her Shelves to Your Table

Tinga Black Bean Burger

 

Ingredients:

Any Local Grocery:

  • ½ yellow onion (chopped)

  • ½ bell pepper (chopped)

  • 3 garlic cloves (chopped)

La Tropicana:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Drain, rinse and pat dry the black beans. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes

  2.  Over medium heat, add the oil. Sauté the chopped yellow onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.

  3. In a large bowl add the sautéed ingredients and add the almond flour, sweet potato, and the Todo Verde Tinga seasoning. Mix until well incorporated. Add the black beans and use a fork to mash together.

  4. Form into patties (about ⅓ cup for each patty).

  5. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 10 minutes on each side.

  6. Assemble your burger with your favorite ingredients.

Instructions
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 F. In a bowl add the dried chickpeas, oil, and Todo Verde Carnitas seasoning.
  2. Place in the airfryer and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden
  3. On a plate, let your creativity flow! Lay out your cheese and spread the cashew cheese with a spoon. Add your vegetables, Tinga hummus, crackers, and sliced apples. Enjoy!
