Recipe: Jackfruit Carnitas Tacos

For the Jackfruit Carnitas Tacos You'll Need

2 tablespoons Todo Verde Carnitas Seasoning

1 20oz can young green jackfruit, drained and shredded

1/4 cup neutral cooking oil

Tortillas of choice

1 pinch chopped white onion

1 pinch cilantro leaves

1 squeeze fresh lime juice
Instructions for Jackfruit Carnitas Tacos

Remove jackfruit from brine and rinse with water. use your hands to squeeze out liquid.

Use a knife to remove the shreddable jackfruit from the core and seed pods. Mince the cores and seeds with a knife or food processor and add all jackfruit to a mixing bowl.

Shake Carnitas seasoning tin to evenly mix flavor. Add two tablespoons Carnitas seasoning to your jackfruit, using a spoon to stir and incorporate.

Preheat a skillet with 1/4 cup neutral cooking oil to medium heat.

Add seasoned jackfruit to skillet, cooking between 10 - 15 minutes until it gets brown and crispy.

When done, top tortillas with carnitas, white onion, cilantro, and fresh squeezed lime juice over the top.
